About Our Mission

 

Future Yearnings is an initiative conceived by co-curators, Tyahra Angus, Mel Isidor and Sharon Stanczak. Our mission for Future Yearnings is to examine who we are today and who we may yet become, engaging thoughtfully with the evolving interplay of identity, community, technology, reality, and imagination in the art world. In November 2025 at Piano Craft Gallery in Boston, MA, we demonstrated our first iteration of this project and are continuing through multiple versions that elaborate on this theme. Through our initiative, we commit to shaping the future with intention by acknowledging our shared responsibility in the act of becoming. Through dialogue, insight, and innovation, we aim to foster environments where new forms of belonging, and new visions of possibility can take root and thrive.
